The Pride & Remembrance Run is the largest, longest-running and most fun, fast and fab(!) pride run in Canada.
Each year the pride & remembrance run raises funds for organizations that are focused on providing youth, health/wellness and cultural support services to the LBGTQ2S+ community. For the past many years U of T students, staff and faculty have joined in support of these deserving causes. Join your U of T colleagues virtual run and help us celebrate the 25th Anniversary!
Everyone is welcome! By joining our team (University of Toronto Rainbow Runners) you’ll virtually connect with a great group of people and get some great swag, all while helping to fundraise for local LGBTQ2S+ charitable organizations. While we are proud to have been among the top fundraising teams over the past few years, fundraising is completely optional and everyone is welcome, whether or not they plan to raise funds.
Are you an experienced runner? Join us! Not sure about being able to complete 5km? Join us anyway--walk, run, skip--if you’re new to running, this is the best place to give a 5 km run (or 3km walk) a try. Wear something fun with lots of colour, and send a selfie to Team Captain Mark Seymour if you like for use on social media!
The 5km Run (or 3km walk) takes place from June 19th - 27th at a time that works for your schedule, and you can log your personal results online.
To join us on the team:
- Visit the Pride Run page
- Click the pink Register button and fill in the requested information, and join the team "University of Toronto Rainbow Runners"
Registration costs $65 which covers administration and swag costs. We want to make sure that everyone can participate in the Run; if the registration costs are a barrier, there is also a free community option to register as well, making the 25th anniversary a very inclusive event!
Can’t join us? Please consider sponsoring the team to help us make an important contribution to Toronto’s LGBTQ2S+ communities. Thank you very much for your support!
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact team captain Mark Seymour at mark.seymour@utoronto.ca
