This session is a co-hosted by the Sexual & Gender Diversity Office and Career Exploration & Education. 

Trans at Work: Navigating the Workplace as Trans and Nonbinary folks 

This workshop will explore various themes such as self-advocacy, legal rights, solidarity, and allyship, as well as advice on finding an inclusive workplace. It will offer a space for learning, discussion, and skills practice all centered around navigating the workplace as trans, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming folks.

This event is hybrid! Join us in-person for a pizza lunch, or over Zoom!

About the Facilitator

Beck Scholbeck (they/them) just completed their degree in Sexual Diversity studies with minors in Women and Gender Studies and Critical Studies in equity and solidarity. Beck is also an abstract-style stick and poke tattoo artist.

They're many other interests include crochet, zines, and punk music.

Where will the workshop be?
Online and In-Person

• This event will be hybrid - so you are welcome to join over Zoom, or join us in-person at 800 Bay Street, on the 5th Floor.
  • Joining in-person? We will be in the workshop room (A & B) at 800 Bay Street, on the 5th Floor. 
    • We will have pizza and snacks available, so join us for lunch, conversation, and connection! 
  • Joining over Zoom? A link will be provided for you shortly before the session.

What else should I know?

  • We will have fidget tools and colouring pages for the session - we encourage stimming and showing up in whatever way feels good to you!
  • If captioning is helpful and you would like to join in-person, we are able to share a computer with the Zoom so you can view closed captions.
• Virtual
  • Closed-captions will be available on Zoom.
