The Indian Students' SOciety at UTSG are very excited to host you for the first ever desi pride event at UofT! All members of the LGBTQA+ community, allies and anyone who wants to learn, meet some new people and celebrate pride are welcome to join!

The event is free and consists of 3 different activity sessions noted below. Attendees are free to join in for all or whichever session they'd like to attend.

- Session 1: Bingo Pride Angles (a play on the famous Indian snack "Bingo Mad Angles." In this segment we will play a game of Bingo related to LGBTQ+ issues, themes and non-binary relationships in the South Asian context)

- Session 2: Ek Movie Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga (this phrase from Hindi loosely translates to "after watching a movie, we felt.." In this segment, we will discuss the Indian Cinema and its portrayal of LGBT Culture. We will talk about famous Indian movies and their correct/incorrect representation of LGBTQ+ relationships among other things)

- Session 3: Chai Pe Charcha (this phrase from Hindi loosely translates to "discussion/chat over tea." This segment will be a relaxed and chill session for people to talk about their experiences with LGBTQ+ culture and related themes in their household, family, friends, colleagues etc. in a space of solidarity and support)
