Queer University of Toronto Employees (QUTE) is an affinity group for two-spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and all sexually and gender diverse (2SLGBTQ+) staff, faculty, and librarians from across U of T’s three campuses.
QUTE activities centre around community building and networking. They are opportunities to meet and connect with 2SLGBTQ+ colleagues from across the large and decentralized institution that is the University of Toronto. Events include lunches, receptions, film screenings, as well as other off-campus events.

Hi, I’m Manjot (she/her)! I’ve been staff at U of T for nearly 10 years, starting at U of T Scarborough and now at the Faculty of Arts & Science, Office of the Faculty Registrar as a Student Success Programs Officer. In my time here, I’ve enjoyed working in multiple roles supporting students to build meaningful connections and feel a sense of belonging on campus. Beyond U of T, I’m always happy to chat about crossword puzzles, book recommendations, or swapping concert stories.
Hello! I’m Chad (he/him) and I’ve been a staff member
at U of T for over 15 years, working at both the Mississauga and St. George campuses in a range of mental health, health promotion, and faculty support roles. I’m currently the Coordinator of Faculty Development within Arts & Science. I’m excited to be a QUTE co-chair because I love to connect people, build community, and generally make work a more social, welcoming, and queer space. Outside of U of T, I’m quite active in Out & Out Toronto, play Pokémon Go (yes, still), and am an avid board gaymer.
