The annual Lead with Pride: Executive Jumpstart conference took place on Saturday, July 28, 2018, providing student execs the opportunity to connect with other student leaders of LGBTQ+ initiatives across all three campuses.
The Lead with Pride Executive Jumpstart Conference is an event hosted annually by the Lead With Pride Co-Chairs alongside the Sexual & Gender Diversity Office for student leaders of LGBTQ+ clubs as well as leaders in equity-focused positions at U of T.
The Lead with Pride conference series began in 2009 as an opportunity for student leaders to develop applicable skills to further improve campus life and uphold a lasting positive influence for other students at U of T. Since then, the conference has continued to foster leadership skills but has developed into a network of support for current student leaders while always aiming to diversify LGBTQ+ student leadership on all three campuses.
This year the Executive Jumpstart Conference will host a variety of engaging workshops aimed to build a diverse community, exercise solidarity, and the ways in which we can think critically about intersectionality. The event is an amazing opportunity for student leaders to collaborate, share ideas, and network with other clubs to prepare for Queer Orientation and the upcoming 2018-2019 school year. We hope your club representatives can join us for another amazing year!
