Auntie Jenny’s Story Time for Kids and Their Families

June 12 @ 11:00 am - 11:45 am

Pride is for everyone, including children and their families. Multidisciplinary artist, hand drummer, singer, fashion designer, and jingle dress dancer, (Auntie) Jenny Blackbird (Nehiyaw-Finnish/Canadian) shares two books for toddlers from ages 3-7. The authors and Jenny nimbly introduce Indigenous culture and knowledge to explore gender expression and identity, allyship and how what makes us different might just be what we can be most proud of.

There will be an opportunity for children to ask questions and share comments. And, three lucky children in attendance (selected at random) will receive a book that will be mailed to their home.

Special thanks to S. Bear Bergman and Flamingo Rampant.

Co-hosted by the Sexual & Gender Diversity Office and Hart House.

Registration required for this live presentation.
