Friday, November 1, 2019 @ 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Join us at the Queer & Trans Students of Colour Community Kitchen for dumpling making and a discussion in which we will be exploring connections between food and our identities. This event is a space for LGBTQ+ students of colour to connect with one another through a hands-on activity and facilitated conversations. Since there will be a limited amount of space, we ask that you RSVP through the form below to claim one of the twenty spots. The RSVP form will be private and only used to ensure that we have enough supplies at the event.

This event is hosted by the Sexual & Gender Diversity Office in collaboration with UofT Community Kitchen. Community Kitchen brings together students, chefs and guest speakers to discuss issues food sovereignty, wellness and community connection while preparing a healthy meal together in kitchens on campus and in community organizations throughout the Greater Toronto Area. Students gain hands-on cooking skills while making food and community connections and leave with food for thought and social action.
LOCATION: Woodsworth Residence (321 Bloor Street West), William Waters Lounge (1st Floor)
LGBTQ+ students of colour are invited to build our communities, share stories and engage in discussion at the Queer Students of Colour Discussion Group. This discussion and social is organized as part of an ongoing series to invite LGBTQ+ students of colour and students questioning their gender and/ or sexual orientation together in a confidential space to share stories and ideas as we build community.
New and returning students across all three campuses are invited to meet other people and join in discussions that challenge racism, homophobia and transphobia.
Come and tell us what you think would help to create more positive spaces and more inclusive conversations!
