Queer & Trans Students of Colour Discussion: Labels & Coming Out
October 18 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
– What does it mean to be “out”? What are some narratives around “coming out” that you know of?
– How do we decide what to come out as?
– How do we we express our identities?
Join us on October 18th for a discussion circle and social where LGBTQ+, genderqueer, two-spirit, and questioning students of colour will talk about how sexuality and race affects our lives and communities. New and returning students across all three campuses are invited to meet other people and join in discussions that challenge racism, homophobia and transphobia.
LGBTQ+ students of colour are invited to build our communities, share stories and engage in discussion at the Queer Students of Colour Discussion Group. This discussion and social is organized as part of an ongoing series to invite LGBTQ+ students of colour and students questioning their gender and/ or sexual orientation together in a confidential space to share stories and ideas as we build community.
New and returning students across all three campuses are invited to meet other people and join in discussions that challenge racism, homophobia and transphobia.
Come and tell us what you think would help to create more positive spaces and more inclusive conversations!
