Q21: A Conversation Café – Out Here, In There: Navigating Family & The Closet

December 3 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

With winter break coming up, we know we’re thinking about family. Family is complicated for everyone – especially when you’re queer – and the holidays don’t make anything simpler. To finish off this semester’s series of Q21 conversations we’ll be discussing family, the closet, and how to navigate them. Whether you’re going home, you already are home, or you’re stranded away from home like me, join us for one last chat before the new year!

– How did your upbringing affect your experience of coming out?
– What plans do you have for the holidays this year?
– What do you want family to mean for you in the future?

Q21 is a weekly conversation café to discuss the questions you want to talk about. Connect with students and guest facilitators as we share our thoughts, experiences and the questions that keep running through our minds. Each week will have a theme, though everyone is welcome to share their ideas and bring questions.

Registration is required. By registering you will be signing up to receive Zoom details for all of the Fall 2020 Q21 weekly sessions. These are drop-in events, so please feel free to join whichever sessions you would like. You can unsubscribe to these emails at any point. For more information, reach out to us at sgdo@utoronto.ca.
