Strength Basics

Let’s learn to lift together at Queer Orientation!

Strength Basics: Learn valuable strength & conditioning tips on etiquette, proper lifting techniques, sets, reps and resting periods and get a training program you can follow on your own with the help of one of our qualified strength attendants.  You’ll learn how to set-up for exercises such as the squat, deadlift, barbell bench press, military press and others.

 

Strength Basics participants, please bring your T-card to access the Athletic Centre. Due to construction to the Main Entrance of the Strength & Conditioning Centre, please follow the signage to the alternate entrance, which is beside the towel counter in the basement.

 

Athletic Centre change rooms are located in the basement. There are large accessible men’s and women’s change rooms with private cubicles for changing and showering as well as open areas.. Privacy/family change rooms are also located in the basement and have two private change rooms for changing, open showers (bathing attire required). An all gender washroom is also located in the first floor by the 25yrd pool as well as an all gender change room is located just outside of the 25yd pool.  Please remember to leave all bag packs in a locker; day lockers are available and please bring your own lock.
