Queer & Trans Students of Colour Discussion: Navigating Culture & Family

October 19 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

– How do we navigate culture and family as queer people of colour? What are some points of conflict/affirmations?
– How do our cultures impact the way we understand our identities?
– What does family mean to you? What are some ways that we can rethink family and familial relationships?

Join us on October 19th for a discussion in which LGBTQ+, genderqueer, two-spirit, and questioning students of colour will talk about how sexuality and race affects our lives and communities. New and returning students across all three campuses are invited to meet other people and join in discussions that challenge racism, homophobia and transphobia.

This discussion is organized as part of an ongoing series to invite LGBTQ+ students of colour and students questioning their gender and/ or sexual orientation together in a confidential space to share stories and ideas as we build community.
