Queer &Trans Students of Colour Discussion: Navigating Queer Spaces

October 13 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

– What are your experiences in LGBTQ+ spaces as a person of colour?
– How do we navigate all of the different communities we are a part of? What are some ways that we bring these communities together?
– What does queer space mean to you?

Join us on Friday, October 13th, for a discussion circle in which LGBTQ+, genderqueer, two-spirit, and questioning students of colour will talk about how sexuality and race affects the way we navigate spaces within LGBTQ+ communities and beyond.

LGBTQ+ students of colour are invited to build our communities, share stories and engage in discussion at the Queer Students of Colour Discussion Group. This discussion and social is organized as part of an ongoing series to invite LGBTQ+ students of colour and students questioning their gender and/ or sexual orientation together in a confidential space to share stories and ideas as we build community.

New and returning students across all three campuses are invited to meet other people and join in discussions that challenge racism, homophobia and transphobia.

Snacks will be provided.

LOCATION: 21 Sussex Avenue, Room 421
