Q21: Voting & Political Engagement
Thursday, October 15, 2015 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
– How familiar are you with how the Canadian government operates? What do you want to know more about?
– What challenges in accessing the polls have you faced/ are you concerned about facing?
– Which election issues are most concerning to you/ do you want to know more about?
This week at Q21 we will be talking about how we can get involved in the political future of Canada and we will be discussing some of the barriers that hold us back from being involved.
As students, we can play a large role in the political landscape of the country. So whether you’re new to the conversation or have many ideas to share, come join us for a casual discussion about the issues that affect us, our hopes for the country and the strategies that we can use to create change.
Bring any questions that you have about voting in the 2015 federal elections on October 19th!
This week we’re excited to welcome Manjot Bining to facilitate our discussion. Manjot is the Leadership and Special Events Facilitator in the UTSC Department of Student Life.
Q21: A Conversation Café is your weekly opportunity to connect with students and guest facilitators about the topics on our minds. Q21 will take place every Thursday from 3:00 – 4:30 pm. Each week will have a theme and a new guest facilitator.
