Q21: Spirituality & Sexuality

Thursday, March 6, 2014 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

q21spirituality

Date: Thursday, March 6, 3:00 – 4:30 pm
Theme: Spirituality & Sexuality

• What role does faith and spirituality play in your life?
• Where do you see connections between spirituality, sexuality and gender?
• How are people queering and re-examining religious ideas to build affirming communities?

Spirituality and a wide diversity of faith traditions still hold a great influence on our lives, both socially and individually. While some religious traditions have a history of mistreatment towards sexuality and gender diversity, many of these traditions are being reexamined by scholars and practitioners to find positive and affirming connections between faith and sexuality.

This week we’re excited to welcome Ralph Carl Wushke. Ralph Carl is an Ecumenical Chaplain at U of T and oversees the University of Toronto Qu(e)erying Religion group that explores connections between sexuality and religion.
