Q21: A Conversation Café – Exploring Your Career Options
March 16 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
– What comes to mind when you hear the word ‘career’?
– What’s the relationship between your career and your identity?
– What will help you move forward in exploring your career options and overcoming career challenges?
Join Melanie & Jon from the Career Centre for a conversation about what ‘career’ means to you and the steps and activities that you can take to explore your options for building a meaningful future.
Melanie Coleman, Coordinator, Employer Recruitment and Engagement at the Career Centre, has worked at U of T for five years. She works directly with employers who are recruiting U of T students and recent grads and enjoys co-creating new and innovative ways of introducing employers to students.
As a Career Educator at the U of T Career Centre, Jon strives to support the personal and professional development of students and recent grads through career education, exploration, and discovery. Jon has worked at the Career Centre for more than 6 years, and practiced career development since 2008. He graduated from McMaster University with an HBA in Peace Studies & Philosophy, and is currently in the process of completing his Masters of Education in Workplace Learning & Social Change. Jon enjoys reading long impossible novels, watching Star Wars with his son, and playing trumpet with a tin mute.
