Q21: A Conversation Café – More Than Volunteering
Thursday, November 12, 2015 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
- What is your role in the Toronto Community?
- How do your intersecting identities and your past experience shape how you are involved in the Toronto community?
- How do you connect your passion for social justice or what you are learning in the classroom to the world outside the classroom?
This semester Q21 has focused on Finding Community, Voting & Political Engagement and Identity & Learning. This week, we will take those conversations a step further and think about our roles in the Toronto Community. Learn how to get more involved with local community organizations that connect to your passions and interests in ways that are meaningful to you.
This week we are happy to welcome Kristina Minnella to facilitate our discussion. Kristina is the Coordinator or Co-Curricular Learning at the Centre for Community Partnerships. She delivers skills development workshops and supports learning opportunities related community-engaged learning that happen outside of formal courses.

Q21: A Conversation Café
Q21 is a weekly conversation café to discuss the questions you want to talk about organized by the U of T Sexual & Gender Diversity Office. Every Thursday from 3:00 – 4:30 pm, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with students and guest facilitators as we share our thoughts, experiences and the questions that keep running through our minds. Each week will have a theme, though everyone is welcome to share their ideas and bring questions.
Be part of the discussion.
Eat the snacks.
