Outside the Box: Finding Community

Wednesday, September 26, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Outside the Box is back for its 5th year!

Join us during this Queer Orientation week for our first event of the year! This discussion event will explore issues around finding and building community at U of T, particularly in relation to race, class, sexual orientation and gender identity.

How do students navigate spaces at UTSC? Where do students feel comfortable? What do students want to see more of on campus? How can we all work together to create more welcoming and engaging LGBTQ-affirming programs and communities here at UTSC?

This discussion will be facilitated by representatives from the Sexual & Gender Diversity Office (SGDO) and the UTSC Women & Trans Centre.

Lunch will be provided. Vegan and vegetarian options are available.

Everyone is welcome. This event is free. This space is accessible to wheelchairs and scooters. All-gender washrooms are available at this location.

LOCATION: The Lab, Rex’s Den, University of Toronto Scarborough Campus

Outside the Box is a UTSC lunch and conversation series to bring students together every other Wednesday from 1:00 – 2:30 pm.
