Outside the Box: Culture, Race, Sexuality & Gender
October 17 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
This week at Outside the Box, we will discuss how race, culture, and immigration status (our own, our family’s) impact the ways we experience and express our gender or sexuality. Join us as we share the different identities that we carry with us and express in our day-to-day lives, and how we can come together around racial, cultural, gender and sexual diversity.
We are excited to welcome Mezart Daulet to facilitate this conversation! Mezart is a learning specialist with over ten years of experience in non-profit and higher education settings. As Equity and Inclusion Educator at Centennial College, he is responsible for the design, implementation, and evaluation of the college-wide educational programming for staff, faculty, and students through the Centre for Global Citizenship Education and Inclusion. He is a MEd student at University of Toronto’s Adult Education and Community Development Program.
