LGBTQ International Students Film Screening: Saving Face
March 24 @ 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm
Our final LGBTQ International Students event has arrived and to celebrate the end of the academic year, we will be screening GLAAD award-winning film Saving Face, followed by a facilitated discussion.
Saving Face is a romantic comedy that centres around a 28-year-old year Chinese-American surgeon living in New York while trying to juggle with her mother’s unexpected pregnancy and a blossoming relationship with a ballet dancer.
Popcorn and other snacks will be provided!
LOCATION: 21 Sussex Avenue, Room 421 (The Jim Delaney Room)
LGBTQ International Students events are organized by the Sexual & Gender Diversity Office (SGDO) in collaboration with the Centre for International Experience (CIE) at the University of Toronto. This group exists to help build a network of students, identify needs, and foster a community on campus. Through the LGBTQ International Student group you will connect with others through fun and exciting activities!
LGBTQ stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer, Questioning and all sexual and gender diversities. The term International Students is also used broadly and includes anyone who may identify themselves as international students regardless of citizenship/immigration status.
If you are attending a planned meeting and require accommodation(s) due to disability, please email firstname.lastname@example.org directly and we will work with you to make appropriate arrangements.
