The LGBTQ Film Series is a monthly educational film series sponsored by the U of T Libraries, the Sexual & Gender Diversity Office and a rotating group of student organizations and university departments. The series showcases films within the U of T Libraries’ collections, focusing on the lives of LGBTQ people in Canada and internationally.

Film synopsis:
“Flag Wars” is a cinema verite documentary that follows the conflicts that arise when gay white professionals move into a black working-class neighborhood. Filmed over a four years in Columbus, Ohio, “Flag Wars” leads viewers on an eye-opening journey into a divided community.

Guest Speaker: David K. Seitz, PhD, Urban Cultural Geographer

Doors open at 6pm. Film begins at 6:30pm.

This month’s screening is co-presented by the University of Toronto Libraries, and the Sexual & Gender Diversity Office.

Accessible. Free Admission. Everyone welcome.
