LGBTQ+ Body Positive Weight Lifting Basics

U of T Sport & Rec’s Diversity & Equity Team – “Diversity Moves Us” would like to provide a healthy strength building and weight-lifting workshop catered towards the LGBTQ+ audience. In this event, a personal trainer will teach participants to perform the 5 fundamental patterns (squats, lunges, hinges, pushes and pulls) that serve as the foundation for every movement we perform on a daily basis. These patterns are applicable to any exercise program, and qualified staff will provide guidance, answer your questions, and help you make the most of your strength building exercises. At the end of the event, each participant will receive a takeaway with the workout practiced that can be utilized during future visits to the gym.
