Inside Out LGBT Festival Screening: Thrive

The annual Inside Out Toronto LGBT Film Festival is kicking off next week on May 25 and will be running until June 4! Taking place over 11 days, the Festival draws crowds of close to 35 000 to screenings, artist talks, panel discussions, installations and parties that highlight more than 200 films and videos from Canada and around the world. The Festival is one of the largest events of its kind in Canada and one of the top five LGBT film festivals in the world.
This year, the U of T Sexual & Gender Diversity Office is sponsoring the screening of a collection of 7 short films titled Thrive.
Description of Thrive: “Whether finding the courage to say the words out loud, or changing the world one opera at a time, this collection of shorts focuses on trans people just being who they are and thriving.”
Join us at the TIFF Bell Lightbox on June 3rd for this screening at 6:45 pm! Tickets are available for purchase online and at the TIFF Bell Lightbox box office. Be sure to check out the full festival schedule.

Join us at the Thrive After Party after the screening!
Everyone is also invited the the Thrive After Party at the Glad Day Bookshop (499 Church Street). Join us for a fierce celebration of Trans filmmakers and artists at this year’s Festival following the screening of our Thrive Shorts program. Special performances by Ravyn Wngz (co-founder of ILL NANA/DiverseCity Dance Company) and ferocious tunes by DJ Valeroo and Dj nik red. Yearly competition for the best dance party of the festival, don’t miss out on this inevitable talk of the town.
