Home Is: A Qu(e)erying Religion Showcase
September 27 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
“Home is here, not a particular place that one simply inhabits, but more than one place: there are too many homes to allow place to secure the roots or routes of one’s destination.”
How do we make sense of ‘home’ in the context of queer sexuality, gendered realities, kinship, faith, land, belonging, and nonbelonging?
Join Qu(e)erying Religion for an intimate evening of spoken word, short film, music, and conversation featuring a carefully curated group of makers from multiple faith traditions and cultural perspectives.
Following a series of short performances from our invited guests, QR hosts a co
mmunity discussion on the myriad ways we define, inhabit, challenge, disassemble, and create ideas of home.
All are welcome.
A selection of light refreshments will be served, with vegan and gluten-free options available.
WHEN: Wednesday September 27th, from 4-6PM
WHERE: Multi-Faith Centre, 2nd Floor, Multi-Purpose Room
569 Spadina Avenue Toronto, ON, M5S 2J7
