Fire Song: Screening/ Reading/ Q&A with the Author

You’re invited to enjoy Queer Orientation at the UTSC Library for a movie, reading, and Q&A!

The film Fire Song, written and directed by Adam Garnet Jones, explores the experiences of two queer youth on a northern Ontario reserve, and it screened at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2015. In the spring of 2018, Adam’s novelization of the film was published by Annick Press.

This event will include a screening of the film, a reading from the novel, and a discussion with the filmmaker and author, Adam Garnet Jones. Two copies of the novel Fire Song will be given away as door prizes.

Refreshments will be provided. This space is accessible to wheelchairs and scooters.

Location: UTSC Library’s Makerspace (immediately to the left when you enter UTSC Library)
